The B-ball Bench is an ambiguous object that is both functional and symbolic. Developed as a prototype for seating and ball storage for the Buckminster Gymnasium, the bench seats five players (one team) and holds fourteen basketballs.

Lightweight and rigid by virtue of its geometry and efficient use of material, all the components of the bench (rails, ribs, and top) are cut from a plywood sheet. Digital modeling and fabrication allow for a quick and precise assembly of each unique piece.
